Your New Life Begins Here: The Gospel

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ gives new life to everyone who turns to Him in faith. It’s God’s invitation to be forgiven, restored, and transformed forever.

1. God created you for relationship and life
   God made you to know Him and experience the fullness of life in Him (John 10:10). This is the life you were created for.

2. Our sin separates us from God
   We’ve all sinned and fallen short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23). Sin brings brokenness and death, keeping us from the new life He wants to give.

3. God’s rescue plan through Jesus
   Even though sin brings judgment, God offers the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23).

4. Jesus died and rose to give us new life
   Jesus, God’s Son, lived a perfect life, died on the cross in our place, and rose from the dead. His resurrection opens the way for you to have forgiveness and new life that lasts forever (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

5. Receive new life through repentance and faith
   You don’t earn salvation—it’s God’s gift. You receive new life when you turn from sin (repentance) and trust Jesus alone as Lord and Saviour (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10).

6. Live as a new creation
   When you trust Christ, you are born again—you begin a brand-new life (2 Corinthians 5:17). God’s Spirit lives in you, helping you grow in faith, love, and obedience.

7. Be baptised and join the family
   As Baptists, we practise believer’s baptism by immersion as a public declaration that your old life is gone and your new life in Christ has begun (Romans 6:4). Baptism is the first step of obedience and a way to publicly join the local church family.
